Deborah Falconi, MSN, RN, OCN

Administrator of Tactical Relationships and Implementation, WVU Cancer Institute

Deborah Falconi, MSN, RN, OCN, is the administrator of tactical relationships and implementation at the WVU Cancer Institute. She provides oversight of the development and integration of new clinical locations and programs, focusing her efforts on continuous quality improvement; clinical support infrastructure; control reporting; internal process development and implementation; regulatory, certification, and accreditation compliance; and advancing relationships essential to WVU Cancer Institute’s strategic, tactical, and operational programmatic advancement.

Falconi has spent over 35 years in healthcare, the last 28 years in healthcare administration. In 1992, Falconi helped lead the opening of the state’s first and only Cellular Therapy Program (formerly known as the Blood and Marrow Transplantation Program) at WVU Medicine WVU Hospitals, in addition to the construction and clinical expansion of the WVU Cancer Institute Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center outpatient facility in Morgantown, West Virginia.

With her passion to improve cancer care in a rural healthcare system, Falconi has led integration, standardization of services, and programmatic initiatives dedicated to improving the health and the unique needs of residents, bringing cancer care close to home. With her extensive clinical expertise and operational knowledge, she has been instrumental in the development and expansion of the WVU Cancer Institute’s clinical network in West Virginia, western Maryland, and southwestern Pennsylvania, opening and expanding cancer clinics and infusion services.

Falconi earned a Master of Science in Nursing with specialization as a family nurse practitioner from West Virginia University, where she served as adjunct faculty. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Fairmont State University. She holds an American Nurses Credentialing Center Certification in Oncology Nursing and is a former fellow in the American Essential Hospitals Fellows Program.
