Dmitry Walker, PharmD, MS

Director of Oncology and Investigational Drug Pharmacy Services, WVU Medicine

Dmitry Walker, PharmD, MS is the Director of Oncology and Investigational Drug Pharmacy Services at WVU Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia.

He received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Spanish degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2013, his Doctor of Pharmacy degree, cum laude, from The Ohio State University in 2017, and his Master of Science in Health-Systems Pharmacy Administration degree from University of Wisconsin in 2019. Dr. Walker completed an ASHP accredited combined two-year Health-Systems Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) residency at University of Wisconsin Health (UW Health) in Madison Wisconsin.

He is actively involved in multiple pharmacy professional organizations. Dmitry serves as the vice-chair of the Vizient Professional Development & Workforce Committee, is an active member of the ASHP Section Advisory Group of New and Emerging Leaders, and is the co-chair of the Program Planning Committee of Advanced Topics in Oncology Pharmacy Practice (ATOPP). Through his professional organization involvement, he has contributed to efforts around school of pharmacy and health-system leadership collaboration, professional advocacy, ambulatory and oncology pharmacy advancement, and clinical pharmacist practice model optimization/pharmacy workforce engagement and retention optimization.

His current research interests are in the areas of oncology, ambulatory, and specialty pharmacy services practice advancement, pharmacy technician advancement, and pharmacy workforce leadership development. You can contact Dr. Walker at dmitry.walker1@wvumedicine.org.
